18 January to 21 January 2012
Q-School Final Stage
Over the span of two weeks of qualifying, played from the 11-21 of January 2012, over various courses in Hua Hin, Thailand, the top 40 gained full playing rights for the 2012 Asian Tour. Out of a record 600 participants I was able to start my quest at Finals with my results from last year. My experience at Asian Qschools proved to help me again. I played great and finished in a strong 12th place (72, 63, 72, 74).

Usually I would now go on how I played in the four rounds but I will just follow up on one round. It was my best tournament round in recent years, a 63 (-9).

My tee time was 12.55pm. I was last off on Springfield GC. Playing in the afternoon is not ideal because the breeze always comes up around 12pm and it is a lot harder to attack flags and hit the narrow fairways when the wind is pumping. Also the greens are the worst at that time a day with spike marks all over from the 120 odd players that walked across them earlier. With the sun being straight above you the heat was another factor I had to cope with. Nevertheless I felt good and was ready after a good solid 45 minutes warm up.
